Job Title: Hotel Receptionist

Reports to: Reception Manager

Department: Blackpool Football Club Hotel

Hours: Zero Hours

Job Purpose:

To be the first point of contact for all visitors to the Hotel, providing a friendly, welcoming, and efficient service to all guests.

We are looking for a friendly, hard working and enthusiastic person to join our reception team. Full Training, uniform and supervision will be given.

Shift work including weekends and bank holidays and a mixture of shifts, as and when required. Shift times are 7.00am - 3.00pm and 3.00pm - 10.00pm, with a few varying shifts in between.

Key responsibilities and duties

To undertake reception duties, including meeting, greeting and attending to the needs of guests, to ensure a superb customer experience.

  • To build a good rapport with all guests and resolve any complaints/issues quickly to maintain high quality customer service.
  • To deal with incoming post and ensure it is distributed in a timely manner.
  • To assist with franking outgoing mail and ensuring that it is all ready to be collected by Royal Mail by 3pm each day.
  • To ensure the reception area is kept clean and tidy at all times.
  • To undertake general office duties, including correspondence, emails, filing and switchboard, to ensure the smooth running of the reception area.
  • To report any maintenance, breakage or cleanliness problems to the relevant manager.
  • To adhere to all fire safety test procedures and to assist in the evacuation process in the event of a fire.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 in Business Admin or equivalent. (desirable)

Experience

  • Previous experience in a customer facing role. (desirable)

Knowledge & Skills

  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good IT Skills.
  • Confident telephone manner.
  • Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and juggle conflicting demands.

Personal Qualities

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both alone and as a member of a team.
  • Have a positive attitude and be able to offer excellent customer service.
  • Ability to use own initiative and work proactively.
