Person Specification:
QUALIFICATIONS: Essential - BSc Hons and MSc in Sport Psychology or related discipline degree; Gained, or working towards British Psychological Society (BPS) or CASES chartered status (psychology) accreditation. Desirable - MSc in Sport Psychology or related discipline degree; Registered with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist.
EXPERIENCE: Essential - 1 years’ experience of working in Elite Sport, preferably a Team sport and within an Academy football environment.
KNOWLEDGE: Essential - An understanding of the EPPP process in academy football. Desirable - Have an understanding of ACT as a therapeutic framework.
SKILLS: Essential - Computer literacy, Including MS Office and Excel; Encourage, maintain and manage elite footballers. Desirable - Completed Mental Health 1st Aid Training.
ATTITUDE: Essential - An understanding and commitment to equal opportunities in employment and sport; Strong commitment to developing elite athletes; Ability to work irregular and unsocial hours as required involving work outside normal office hours, at evenings, weekends and bank holidays
