Salary: UEFA C (FA Level 2) Football Qualified Coach: £12.50 per hour
FA Level 1 Football Qualified Coach: National Minimum Wage per
hour
Hours of Work: You will be requested to work when projects involving multi sports
coaching are running. The role may include evening and weekend
unsociable hours.
Location: Blackburn Rovers Football Club, Ewood Park, Blackburn, BB2 4JF,
but may require some travel on occasions.
Responsible To: Head Of Wellbeing & Targeted Services
Contractual Status: Casual

Overall purpose of the Job
Blackburn Rovers Community Trust (BRCT) is the award-winning
independent charitable arm of founding member of the EFL and
the Premier League - Blackburn Rovers FC.
Using the brand of Blackburn Rovers FC and the power of football
and sport for positive social change, we are seeking to appoint a
community sport coach.
The role will predominantly be based at Blackburn Rovers Indoor
Centre (BRIC), Ewood Park, but would require travel to engage
within the local community of Blackburn with Darwen.
The post holder will support comprehensive, fun and engaging
sports sessions across a variety of different age groups, for the
following programmes, but not limited to:
• Harm reduction wellbeing projects
• Community Wellbeing projects
• Alternative Provision
The role requires an individual with experience working in a
community sport setting and a good knowledge of the type of
young people and adults likely to attend sessions.
Collating and monitoring attendance data.
To assist, when required, with pitch maintenance and help
maintain the high standards of cleanliness and safety within the
sporting facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
• To plan and deliver sports coaching in a variety of community
settings.
• To ensure all participants feel welcome and included within the
sessions.
• To help embed a positive culture across all delivery.
• To attend relevant meetings with BRCT management staff to
improve quality of services.
• Support the management of all sports facilities and equipment
usage across the delivery programme.
• Market the football club within the community.
• To keep a accurate record of participant attendance.
• To monitor and evaluate your own delivery and
support/monitor other casual staff to ensure they do the same.
• Collate feedback and evidence for new participant case
studies.
• Support with the delivery of our female football development
programme.
• To provide high standards of safeguarding and a safe and
enjoyable leaning environment.
General
To always be approachable and represent Blackburn Rovers
Community Trust in a professional manner regarding dress,
presentation, personal hygiene, attitude, conduct and
professionalism.
To be able to work flexible and unsociable hours where the role of
the job requires including some evenings, weekends and overnight
stays.
