Job Title: Community Wellbeing Officer - Veterans
Salary: £25000 - £26,000 (Pro rota)
Hours of Work: You will be expected to work a minimum of 19 hours per week,
excluding lunch breaks. The role may include evening and weekend
hours depending on the need of the programme and wider trust
commitments.
Location: Blackburn Rovers Football Club, Ewood Park, Blackburn, BB2 4JF.

Blackburn Rovers Community Trust (BRCT) is the award-winning
independent charitable arm of founding member of the EFL and
the Premier League - Blackburn Rovers FC.
Using the brand of Blackburn Rovers FC and the power of football
and sport for positive social change, we are seeking to appoint a
Community Wellbeing Officer – Veterans.
The Community Wellbeing Officer will play a vital role in enhancing
the health and wellbeing of veterans. The position focuses
support, resources, advocacy to veterans and their families,
ensuring they have access to the necessary services and
programmes to improve their physical, emotional and social
wellbeing.
Programme Development and Implementation:
• Design and implement wellbeing programmes
tailored to the specific needs of veterans.
• Collaborate with local organisations, agencies, and
stakeholders to enhance programme offerings.
Support and Advocacy:
• Serve as a primary point of contact for veterans
seeking assistance and information.
• Advocate for veterans' needs and rights within the
community and with service providers.
Community Engagement:
• Build relationships with veterans, their families, and
community groups.
• Organise and facilitate community events, workshops,
and support groups to promote veteran
wellbeing. Including Match Day activities.
Resource Coordination:
• Identify and connect veterans with appropriate
resources, including healthcare, mental health
services, housing assistance, and employment
support.
• Maintain an up-to-date database of local and national
resources available to veterans.
Education and Awareness:
• Conduct outreach initiatives to raise awareness of
veteran related issues and available services.
• Provide training and workshops for community
members and organisations on veteran wellbeing and
support.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
• Collect and analyse data on programme effectiveness
and community needs.
• Prepare reports and presentations to communicate
outcomes and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Develop content to showcase the impact of the
programme via various platforms, e.g. case studies
• To be accountable for achieving agreed outcomes/key
performance indicators.

Undertake every opportunity to promote a positive image of

To be able to work flexible and unsociable hours where the role of
the job requires including some evenings, weekends and overnight
