3. The Person
We are seeking a highly motivated, elite-level Sport Scientist who speaks the language of the First Team. You understand the demands of professional football and possess the communication skills to influence stakeholders nationally and internationally.
To be considered for this role, you will need to hold the following qualifications/registrations:
· BSc (Hons) in Sport Science (minimum 2:1)
· MSc in Strength and Conditioning (or equivalent)
· UK Strength and Conditioning Association (UKSCA) accreditation or equivalent (or in progress)
You will be an organised, analytical and proactive Sport Scientist who is comfortable working independently as well as within a multi-stakeholder MDT across the Emerging Talent and Men’s First Team. You will be able to demonstrate previous experience of delivering high quality sport science and athletic development support in a full-time capacity in an elite professional environment, ideally in a First Team or Loans setting. Confident building relationships with staff at external loans clubs, you will represent Aston Villa’s performance standards in a variety of environments, manage multiple stakeholders while keeping the player’s development and availability at the centre of your work.
The role requires a flexible approach to working hours, including weekends, in line with the demands of elite football. A full UK driving licence is essential.
