Main Activities and Responsibilities

The Catering Operations role is a core position within the FIFA World Cup 26™ Catering & Venue Operations team, supporting the planning, delivery, and oversight of all food and beverage services across Host Cities.

This unified evergreen job profile consolidates responsibilities across Catering Managers and Catering Supervisors, ensuring consistent service standards, operational readiness, and seamless execution of catering operations at venues and operational sites. Catering Manager – Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee catering logistics, meal distribution, and service execution in line with FIFA standards.
  • Manage daily operations of workforce, volunteer, and broadcast dining areas, including meal box distribution and coffee services.
  • Coordinate catering rate card services and service orders in partnership with the Central Catering Team.
  • Attend venue operations meetings to align on daily plans and resolve issues proactively.
  • Monitor food safety, hygiene, service quality, and compliance with FIFA catering requirements.
  • Support wayfinding and signage needs in collaboration with Look & Feel teams.
  • Deliver daily reporting, post-service debriefs, and performance tracking to the Central Catering Team.
  • Support sustainability initiatives and ensure operational readiness throughout the tournament.
Catering Supervisor – Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Venue Catering Manager with day-to-day catering logistics and service execution across assigned Functional Areas.
  • Supervise meal distribution, dining operations, and service schedules, escalating issues as needed.
  • Conduct regular walk-throughs to monitor readiness, guest experience, food safety, hygiene, and service quality.
  • Oversee media dining areas and support meal box distribution to ensure correct zone servicing.
  • Assist with coordination of rate card catering services, confirming deliveries and escalating discrepancies.
  • Represent catering operations in venue meetings and provide operational updates to catering teams.
  • Participate in post-service debriefs and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Promote sustainability practices and ensure operational coverage during extended tournament hours.
Tournament-Time Requirements
  • Work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, during peak tournament periods.
  • Maintain high situational awareness in fast-paced, large-scale operational environments.
  • Support multiple venue operations as needed across the host city.

Your Profile

Education & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Management, Event Operations, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent professional experience in catering operations, event catering, hospitality, or high-volume food service management will be considered.

Work Experience
  • Experience in large-scale catering operations, high-volume event catering, sports event operations, or hospitality management.
  • Strong background in workforce dining, media catering, venue-level service operations, and multi-stakeholder coordination.
  • Experience working with external vendors and internal cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in financial tracking, meal reconciliation, or F&B budgeting is an advantage.
  • Proven ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure, and time-sensitive environments.

Language
  • Fluent in English (required)
  • Spanish and/or French proficiency is a strong plus
  • Additional languages beneficial due to the international workforce and guest groups.

Technology
  • Experience with F&B management systems, catering ordering platforms, and operational dashboards.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).
  • Ability to use digital reporting tools, data tracking systems, and communication platforms (TOC systems, BEO systems, Monday.com, etc.).
