Job Description


The person in this role will be responsible for ensuring the complete accounting of monthly transactions and operations (accounting cycle), in order to prepare and analyze various reports for the Club's five entities, while providing support to the team in all required financial activities.

Main responsibilities

  • Perform the complete accounting cycle (excluding accounts payable and receivable).
  • Record journal entries at the end of the month.
  • Reconciling the different systems (Eigen, Outbox, Moneris, Amelia, Oracle, Vena, etc.).
  • Participate in the analysis and explain the discrepancies, as well as reconcile the balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Participate in the preparation of monthly financial statements for the various entities of the Club.
  • Contribute to the preparation and analysis of monthly results by department.
  • Perform accounting operations related to payroll management and actively participate in the complete payroll cycle.
  • Monitor projects and investments (Capex).
  • File tax returns (GST-QST) monthly.
  • Participate in the preparation of files for annual audits.
  • Participate in the creation of interdepartmental management, analysis and accounting procedures tools.
  • Propose and implement improvements to optimize accounting activities and internal controls.
  • Responding to employee requests for information and support.
  • Perform all other related tasks.

  • Reconcile the various systems (Eigen, Outbox, Moneris, Amélia, Oracle, Vena, etc.).
  • Participate in analysis and explain variances, as well as reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial statements for the Club’s different entities.
  • Contribute to the preparation and analysis of monthly results by department.
  • Perform accounting operations related to payroll management and actively participate in the full payroll cycle.
  • Ensure follow-up on projects and investments (Capex).
  • Prepare monthly tax filings (GST/QST).
  • Assist in preparing files for annual audits.
  • Participate in creating management tools, analysis reports, and interdepartmental accounting procedures.
  • Propose and implement improvements to optimize accounting activities and internal controls.
  • Respond to information requests and employee support requests.
  • Perform any other related tasks.

 


Qualifications

  • The personality! Resourceful, proactive, autonomous, solution-oriented, rigorous and with a great eye for detail.
  • Hold a university degree, or a DEC in accounting or equivalent.
  • Possess a minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in accounting.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, autonomously, and to work under tight deadlines according to precise schedules.
  • Good analytical skills, attention to detail, rigor and precision.
  • A mindset focused on automation and the optimal use of technological tools.
  • Demonstrate initiative and possess a collaborative spirit.
  • Good knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Knowledge of Vena, Concur, NetSuite is an asset.

Required qualifications

  • Mindset focused on automation and optimal use of technological tools.
  • Demonstrate initiative and possess a collaborative spirit.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Knowledge of Vena, Concur, and NetSuite is an asset.
