Job Description

At Manchester United, we believe that excellence on the pitch starts with excellence off the pitch. Our team thrives in a high-performance environment, united by a shared passion for success. We aim to elevate the standard of performance through collaboration and continuous growth, creating a space where everyone can contribute their best to our common goals.

We work together at our iconic Manchester United offices, enabling connection and innovation as we look ahead to what we can achieve as a global football club. We are excited to bring in passionate people who share our vision and drive for success.

The Role:

As Women's Academy Performance Analyst, you will play an integral role in supporting the development of our academy players by delivering high-quality performance analysis across the Women's Academy programme. Working closely with coaches and multidisciplinary staff, you'll provide insightful analysis that enhances individual player development, team performance and supports the club's playing philosophy.

You'll film, code and analyse training sessions and fixtures, producing pre-match, live (where appropriate) and post-match analysis to support coaches and players. You'll also create individual player clips and feedback to aid technical and tactical development, maintain performance analysis systems and databases, and contribute to a positive, high-performance learning environment.

This is a casual role (20 hours per week across 42 weeks) and requires flexibility to support training sessions, fixtures and academy events, including evenings and weekends.

The Person:

We're looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented analyst with a passion for football and player development. You'll be proactive, eager to learn and committed to producing high-quality work that supports the continued growth of our Women's Academy players.
You'll bring:

  • A strong understanding of football and performance analysis.
  • Experience using performance analysis software such as Hudl, Angles, Final Cut Pro, Keynote or similar platforms.
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
  • The ability to analyse performance data and present findings clearly to coaches and players.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive approach, demonstrating initiative and a willingness to learn.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build positive relationships across multidisciplinary staff.
  • Flexibility to work during the week, evenings and weekends to support the academy programme.
