Reports to: Head of Academy Operations

Hours of Work:
20 hours per week, as required by the Head of Academy Operations, balanced with the commitments of a part-time Master’s degree. Evening and weekend work is expected.

To qualify for this position you must meet the minimum requirements to complete a Master’s degree / Master’s in Research in Business or Administration.

Job Description

Fleetwood Town are advertising an exciting opportunity for a person to undertake the position of Football Administrator. This role will be completed alongside and in support of completion of a fully funded Master’s Degree at one of our partner Universities.

You will be part of a progressive Academy with a proven recent history of developing young players to compete in professional football through all levels of the football pyramid as well as play regular fixtures with the First Team.

You will be based at the £10 million training facility at Poolfoot Farm where we are currently expanding and building an indoor facility.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and deliver the registration of all Academy players in accordance with regulations, including player contracts, EFL registrations and FIFA TMS where required.
  • Support the Recruitment team with trialist registrations, scout requests and general administration.
  • Ensure compliance with all rules and regulations of football authorities and ensure paperwork and submissions are completed on time.
  • Use IFAS and MOAS systems.
  • Use Kitman Labs ensuring staff log information as required.
  • Work closely with the finance department to ensure invoices are accurate and paid.
  • Liaise with football bodies including The FA, English Football League, PGMOL, Lancashire FA and others.
  • Maintain filing systems including players’ contractual files.
  • Liaise with other EFL clubs to organise fixtures.
  • Maintain knowledge of youth regulations including training compensation and solidarity payments.
  • Act as secretary of Academy meetings, keeping minutes and storing them on Kitman Labs.
  • Assist Academy departments in maintaining the Academy Performance Plan.
  • Optional CPD within Recruitment / Talent ID teams supporting games watched and players identified.
  • Other duties as directed.

Masters Degree

Complete a Master’s degree / Master’s in Research in Business or Administration using Fleetwood Town Academy data for dissertation research.
