Junior Assistant Coach (Voluntary Role)

Location: South London
Organisation: South London Girls Football Academy
Commitment: Weekly training sessions (evenings/weekends)
Age Range: 16–21

⚽ About the Role

We’re looking for passionate, reliable and motivated young people to join our team as Junior Assistant Coaches.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional football environment, develop your coaching skills and make a positive impact on young female players.

🔧 What You’ll Do

Assist a professional coach during weekly training sessions

Support individual players (1-to-1) under the guidance of the Lead Coach

Help set up and pack away equipment before and after sessions

Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all players at all times

Represent the Academy by dressing and acting professionally

Support all Academy staff as requested by the Academy Director and Manager

🎯 What We’re Looking For

A football background – played through youth or school teams

Some experience in coaching, mentoring, or supervising others (preferred)

Reliable and available for weekly sessions

An interest in working with children and supporting their development

A willingness to learn and gain qualifications (FA coaching badges, Safeguarding, First Aid – support provided)
