Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Financial Administrator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, supporting budgeting processes, and ensuring compliance with financial policies. Prior experience in finance or administration is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including income and expenditure tracking.
  • Process invoices, reimbursements, and supplier payments.
  • Monitor and record membership fees and subscriptions.
  • Assist with budgeting and basic financial reporting for the committee.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and cash transactions.
  • Assist with payroll or honorarium payments (e.g., coaches, referees) if applicable.
  • Maintain financial documentation in line with charity and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain gift aid accounts and process expenses ready for HMRC submission.

Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Confident using spreadsheets (e.g., Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets).
  • Trustworthy and able to handle confidential information.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with volunteers.

Desirable:

  • Experience working with community organisations, charities, or sports clubs.
  • Knowledge of Xero accounting software or willingness to learn.
  • Bookkeeping or accounting qualification — or willingness to learn.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
