Global Partner Activation Executive

Job Description

The Global Partner Activation Executive is a key member of AFC Bournemouth’s Commercial team, supporting the activation, delivery and growth of the Club’s partnerships portfolio. Working closely with colleagues across the Global Partner Activation team, the role helps bring sponsorship agreements to life through high-quality, creative and commercially effective activations. 

The Executive supports the delivery of partner activations, ensuring all contractual sponsorship rights are fulfilled accurately and consistently across a diverse range of partners. The role also contributes to commercial performance by supporting contract renewals and refreshes, identifying upsell opportunities, and assisting in the development of new initiatives that drive revenue, improve profitability and deliver against departmental KPIs. 

Based at Vitality Stadium, this role reports directly to the Head of Global Partner Activation and offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, live-event environment at the heart of a Premier League football club. 

The successful candidate will be required to attend AFC Bournemouth men’s first-team home fixtures, as well as selected non-first-team matches and Club events. This may include working evenings, weekends and public holidays. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with club partners and support the delivery of activations, ensuring all contractual sponsorship assets-both matchday and non-matchday-are fulfilled accurately and to a high standard for assigned partners. 
  • Activate, host and develop positive client relationships on matchdays, non-matchdays and at Club-led commercial events, including The Net. 
  • Represent the Club at non-matchday and community events as required to coordinate partner involvement and activation. 
  • Act as a liaison with the Vitality Stadium operations team on sponsorship and activation-related matters. 
  • Maintain a working knowledge of CRM systems, adopting and utilising Salesforce to support partner account management and reporting. 
  • Work collaboratively with department heads and managers to ensure sponsor assets are delivered on time and in line with contractual obligations. 
  • Attend contracted partner appearances, commercial shoots and activation events, including at sponsor businesses and community settings, where required. 
  • Create, maintain and present partner inventory and activation reports at key points throughout the season, including pre-season, mid-season and post-season reviews. 
  • Support the development and management of strategic plans for assigned partner accounts that are approaching renewal or expiry. 
  • Coordinate internal creative discussions with key departments to develop innovative activation ideas and sponsor assets. 
  • Track and evaluate partnership performance using agreed metrics such as brand exposure, fan engagement and digital reach. 
  • Proactively contribute ideas to enhance partner activation and identify value-adding upsell opportunities. 
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across the Club, including Brand & Design, Community Sports Trust, Hospitality, Marketing, Media, Operations, Performance and Ticketing. 
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as required to support the Commercial team and wider Club objectives.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Degree-level education or equivalent (preferred). 
  • Up to one year’s experience in a partnerships, marketing, sponsorship or account support role. 
  • Understanding of business-to-business environments and professional client engagement. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to work effectively within a team while developing confidence to work independently. 
  • A proactive mindset with a strong desire to learn and progress.
