Position Summary:
The Accounting Analyst will play a key role in supporting the finance function by ensuring accurate
financial records, timely reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This position
involves reviewing and posting accounting entries, managing the monthly close process, and
assisting with audits and ad hoc financial projects.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Review and post Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) entries.
• Review and post bank entries and journal entries accurately and timely.
• Review and export invoices from Sage APA to Sage 300.
• Maintain and ensure the general ledger and sub-ledgers reconcile for key accounts,
including: Banks, Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Deferred Revenue,
Prepaid Expenses, Accrued Liabilities
• Manage and ensure timely completion of the monthly financial close process.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements, including: T4A reporting, and HST
remittances
• Perform and manage ad hoc projects, financial analysis, and reporting as required.
• Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation
• Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the CFO.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
• Minimum 5 years of experience in finance and accounting
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with Sage APA and Sage 300 is an asset.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational, time management, and
prioritization skills, able to deliver high-quality work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
