We are seeking a dedicated Grassroots Academy Scouts to assist with the long-term vision of Ipswich Town Football Club in identifying and recruiting the most talented young players, aged U6s through to U16s, across particular regions such as Suffolk, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire.
The Grassroots Academy Scouts will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the Club’s identification, recruitment, and scouting strategies for the Academy in line with the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP). Working under the direction of the Head of Academy Recruitment, this role will focus on identifying and recruiting the most talented U6-U16 players available, ensuring adherence to the Club’s Player Profiles. The successful candidate will play a vital part in shaping the Category 1 Academy’s future by helping to discover and recruit players who have the potential to progress through the Player Performance Pathway.
The Club History:
Ipswich Town Football Club is a professional association football club, currently playing in League One, with aspirations of climbing back to the premiership.
The club was founded in 1878 and turned professional in 1936; it was subsequently elected to join the Football League in 1938. Ipswich won the English league title in 1961–62, their first season in the top flight, and finished runners-up in 1980–81 and 1981–82. They finished in the top six in the English First Division for ten years, apart from when they won the FA Cup in 1977–78.
