The Role: 

As a Purchase Ledger Administrator within our Group Finance team, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of purchase invoices through the Medius system. You will manage and respond to purchase ledger queries, liaise with internal and external stakeholders, and support the smooth running of the department through a range of administrative and reconciliation tasks.
Working as part of a team of five (including one Senior Administrator and three Purchase Ledger Administrators), you will contribute to maintaining high financial standards and supporting the Club’s wider operational success. Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing purchase invoices accurately via the Medius system
  • Reviewing and responding to emails relating to purchase ledger queries and payments
  • Managing and resolving rejected invoices within the Medius system
  • Liaising with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve queries efficiently
  • Handling purchase order queries and tracking pro forma/VAT invoice requirements
  • Supporting purchase ledger housekeeping tasks, including statement reconciliations
  • Assisting with general administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the department
  • Carrying out ad hoc duties as required

The Person: 

We are looking for someone who has: 

  • Strong Excel skills (including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, subtotals, and data sorting)
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to use initiative and manage workload effectively
  • A collaborative approach to working as part of a team
  • Finance experience (desirable but not essential)
  • A flexible and resilient attitude, with the ability to respond positively to change
