About the Role

Lostock Gralam FC is launching inclusive Women’s Mental Health Football Sessions and is seeking a passionate and supportive individual to lead and facilitate these sessions. Sessions will be a minimum of one evening per month at our club, pitch, training equipment and clubhouse will be available.

The programme is designed to provide casual, inclusive football opportunities for women experiencing mental health challenges. Sessions are informal, welcoming, and open to all, no formal diagnosis or referral is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver relaxed, inclusive football sessions
  • Create a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment
  • Encourage participation, confidence, and social connection
  • Adapt sessions based on participant needs (including indoor alternatives during poor weather)
  • Engage with the club and wider community to promote the sessions

Who We’re Looking For

  • Someone passionate about football, wellbeing, and community inclusion
  • Experience in coaching or group facilitation (preferred but not essential)
  • Empathetic, approachable, and supportive
  • Willingness to complete Mental Health First Aid training
