Job Overview
Altrincham FC Community Sports is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Football Coach to deliver high-quality football sessions and engaging children’s birthday parties for ages 3–12 years. We are looking for someone who can create fun, safe, inclusive and development-focused experiences for all children, while representing the charity with professionalism and positivity.

Duties

  • To deliver sports coaching and community sessions on behalf of AFC Community Sports Company as directed by your line manager.
  • Deliver PE & other classroom-based sessions in both primary & secondary schools in line with school policies and schemes of work
  • Promote and encourage young people to develop their technical and performance skills, creativity and confidence.
  • Deliver a weekly programme of football and multi sports coaching sessions for children and young people, adults and young people
  • Deliver Birthday Parties in our Community Sports Hall on a Saturday or Sunday.
  • To implement AFC’s equal opportunities policies and practice within the project and to challenge discrimination and prejudice in all its forms.
  • To ensure the provision of a safe and healthy environment ensuring that AFC’s policies relating to the health, safety and welfare of children, young people and staff are complied with at all times.
  • To work co-operatively with other AFC staff and programme partners delivering services.
  • To ensure that proper precautions are taken regarding Health and Safety, including checking the facilities and equipment of each session and event.
  • To complete relevant forms for accidents/incidents when necessary
  • To ensure that registers of attendance are accurate and up to date (if required).
  • To ensure consent forms are completed for all young people attending sessions and activities (as directed by the Community Co-ordinator).
  • Represent AFC Community Trust at local fairs, festivals and open day events

Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS
  • Safeguarding Qualification
  • First Aid Qualification
  • FA Level 2 coaching qualification or equivalent
  • Level 3 PESS (Desirable)
  • Experience of delivering coaching sessions to children
  • Experience of delivering coaching sessions to Adults
  • Previous community-based experience
  • Proven ability to develop relationships and work in partnership.
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Strong team player with good interpersonal abilities
  • The capability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Achieve targets and respond quickly and flexibly to changing needs and demands
  • IT Literate
  • Clean driving license & access to a vehicle

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £24,000.00 per year
