Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and fair-minded Referee to oversee sporting matches and ensure that all activities are conducted in accordance with established rules and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to make impartial decisions under pressure. Responsibilities

  • Enforce game rules and regulations consistently during matches or competitions
  • Make prompt, fair, and decisive calls on all aspects of play, including fouls, penalties, and scoring
  • Monitor player behaviour to prevent misconduct and ensure adherence to safety standards
  • Communicate effectively with players, coaches, officials, and spectators regarding decisions and game procedures
  • Maintain impartiality at all times, demonstrating professionalism and integrity in all interactions
  • Keep accurate records of game incidents, penalties, and other relevant events for reporting purposes
  • Ensure the playing area is safe and free from hazards before and during the event

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a referee or in a similar officiating role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
  • Strong knowledge of the sport’s rules, regulations, and fair play principles
  • Excellent decision-making skills under pressure with the ability to remain calm and impartial
  • Good communication skills to clearly articulate decisions to players and officials

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From £15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 2 – 5 per week
