HR Advisor & Insights Lead (Part-time)

Celtic Football Club is seeking a talented HR Advisor & Insights Lead to play a key role in shaping data-driven people practices across the Club. Key accountabilities will include:

HR Systems, Data and Insight

  • Act as the lead for the Club’s HRIS, ensuring data integrity, system optimisation and effective utilisation across the HR team
  • Proactively identify opportunities to digitise manual HR processes, improving efficiency, accuracy and user experience
  • Develop, maintain and automate HR dashboards and reports covering key people metrics (e.g. headcount, turnover, absence, ER trends, recruitment, diversity and wellbeing)
  • Carry out regular analysis of HR data to identify trends, risks and opportunities, translating insight into clear, actionable recommendations for the Head of HR and senior stakeholders
  • Support workforce planning through data modelling, scenario analysis and forecasting
  • Ensure HR data is accurately maintained, compliant with GDPR and aligned to data governance best practice
  • Work closely with Payroll, Finance and IT to ensure effective data flows, reconciliations and reporting

HR Processes and Continuous Improvement

  • Lead the review, design and implementation of streamlined digital HR process across the employee lifecycle
  • Document and standardise HR processes, ensuring consistency, scalability and audit readiness
  • Measure the effectiveness of HR processes and interventions using data and defined KPIs
  • Support system upgrades, enhancements and testing, acting as the key HR liaison with system providers

Collaboration

  • Work alongside the HR team and line managers to embed a data-led approach to people management and decision making
  • Support the Head of HR in the research, design and evaluation of HR policies, processes and initiatives using data and insight

Employee Relations

  • Provide advice and support to managers and colleagues on ER related issues
  • Conduct investigations in line with policies and procedures
  • Analyse employee relations data to identify recurring themes, risks and preventative actions
  • Produce ER trend reports to inform policy updates, manager capability building and wellbeing initiatives

Recruitment, Onboarding and Diversity Insight

  • Provide guidance in all aspects of recruitment and onboarding
  • Analyse recruitment and onboarding data to assess effectiveness, time-to-hire, quality of hire and candidate experience
  • Monitor and report on diversity data across recruitment and employment lifecycle stages, supporting fair and inclusive practices

Talent Development

  • Identify and highlight any development needs
  • Design and deliver appropriate training modules
  • Advise and support with any performance related issues

Skills and Experience required:

Essential

  • Extensive and up to date understanding of employment legislation.
  • Strong understanding of all areas of HR
  • Experience working within a diverse and fast paced environment
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experienced in developing and supporting colleagues across all levels
  • Demonstratable experience working with HR systems, including data management, reporting and system improvement
  • Proven ability to digitise and improve HR processes using systems and technology
  • Strong experience in analysing HR data and producing meaningful insight to inform decision making

Desirable

  • Experience implementing or upgrading HR systems, specific knowledge of Cascade is advantageous
  • Experience building HR dashboards or management information packs
  • Knowledge of workforce planning, data modelling or people analytics methodologies
