Roehampton Elite FC
Roehampton Elite FC is inviting applications for the voluntary position of Club Welfare Officer (CWO). This is a key safeguarding role responsible for promoting the welfare of children and young people and supporting the club in meeting The FA’s safeguarding requirements.
The Club Welfare Officer will act as the main point of contact for safeguarding and welfare matters within the club, ensuring that Roehampton Elite FC provides a safe, inclusive, and child-centred environment for all participants.
Act as the first point of contact for all safeguarding and welfare concerns
Support the implementation and promotion of The FA Safeguarding Children Policy and Procedures
Ensure appropriate reporting procedures are followed where concerns arise
Work with coaches, volunteers, players, and parents to promote best safeguarding practice
Maintain accurate, confidential welfare records where required
Attend club committee meetings where safeguarding matters are discussed
Liaise with the County FA Welfare Team when necessary
Commitment to safeguarding children and young people
Good communication and organisational skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
Willingness to complete required FA training
The successful volunteer will be required to complete:
FA Safeguarding Children Training
FA Welfare Officer Workshop
Enhanced DBS Check (arranged through the club)
This is a voluntary role with flexible hours, including occasional attendance at club activities and committee meetings as required.
