About this role:
The Commercial Insights Manager will support the Commercial Department by delivering high-quality insight, reporting and data-driven recommendations that drive revenue growth across partnerships, premium, ticketing, retail and events. The role will report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer and act as executive commercial support to their day-to-day activities, including pulling together commercial presentations and materials for shareholder, board and management meetings, and supporting wider commercial planning and decision making.
The role will work closely with Commercial, Marketing and Finance to identify commercial opportunities, support sales narratives, measure partner performance and improve supporter understanding. The position will play a key role in translating data into clear, actionable insight that supports day-to-day commercial decision making.
Responsibilities:
Own the Club’s commercial data strategy across hospitality, sponsorship, catering and premium sales, translating insights into commercial initiatives
Build and maintain a roadmap for how data underpins pricing, product development, audience targeting and partner value
Support the creation and maintenance of commercial dashboards and performance tracking frameworks
Translate complex data into clear summaries and recommendations for non-technical stakeholders
Support partnership sales activity through insight generation, prospect research and rationale development
Support the reporting of partner reach, engagement and effectiveness across digital, matchday and media channels
Develop segmentation, lead scoring and propensity models to support targeted sales and marketing
Support data cleansing and enrichment initiatives to improve data quality and usability
Support insight development for cross-channel campaigns and sponsor activations
Other duties and responsibilities as required by line manager.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
Experience working in data, insight or commercial analytics (ideally in sport, media or entertainment)
Strong data analysis and storytelling skills
Experience working with CRM and customer data
Ability to translate data into clear commercial recommendations
Experience building reports and dashboards (e.g. Power BI, Tableau or similar)
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Experience working with fan data, survey data or third-party research (e.g. YouGov, Two Circles, Nielsen, etc.)
Understanding of sports commercial models including partnerships, premium and ticketing
Basic SQL or data querying capability
