Job Description

The Graphic Designer supports the Marketing & Communications department by bringing the Club’s brands to life through compelling visual storytelling. This position plays an integral role in creating high-quality creative assets that engage fans, strengthen brand identity, and support club initiatives across multiple platforms.

This role is heavily involved in designing for Louisville City FC while also contributing to broader creative needs for Racing Louisville FC, Lynn Family Stadium, club marketing campaigns, and select non-soccer events.

The ideal candidate has a strong eye for design, a pulse on sports culture and fan behavior, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 

  • Design and produce high-quality creative assets across all channels, including digital, social media, print, web, game day, and in-stadium applications.
  • Design creative that supports Louisville City FC as the primary brand, with additional design support for Racing Louisville FC, club academies, and stadium events as assigned.
  • Create visual assets that engage fans, reinforce brand identity, and support marketing, communications, and revenue-generating initiatives.
  • Develop creative assets in alignment with established brand standards, ensuring consistency in tone, style, color, and quality across all platforms.
  • Contribute to the design of retail and merchandise graphics, including apparel designs and promotional materials, as part of broader club branding efforts.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and external partners to concept, design, and execute creative projects aligned with club strategy and storytelling.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and maintaining timelines in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and quick turnarounds.
  • Stay informed on design trends, sports marketing best practices, and fan engagement strategies to continuously elevate creative output.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in an agency or in-house creative environment preferred.
  • Experience working with professional sports organizations, lifestyle brands, or consumer marketing is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop required.
  • Experience with After Effects, Adobe Premiere, and/or 3D design tools is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of design for digital platforms, including social media and web.
  • Ability to interpret creative direction, apply feedback, and execute efficiently.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Highly creative, adaptable, and comfortable working independently or collaboratively.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed during the playing season.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. 
Must be able to walk significant distances, including up and down stairs, as required throughout the venue, as well as stand, sit, walk, bend, kneel, climb, grasp, stretch, stoop, and reach above head in conjunction with tasks.
Ability and willingness to work in all types of adverse weather conditions (i.e., heat, rain, cold, snow, wind). 

SCHEDULE:

Candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays during home games and special events.
