Role Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic, passionate and motivated CDP to join our culinary team in delivering high quality food along with exceptional service. Working closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef, the CDP plays a key role in day-to-day kitchen operations both on site and off site at SSV ensuring food safety compliance and maintaining consistency in preparation and presentation.

This is a hands-on position suited to someone who wants to improve their culinary skills, leadership and can thrive in a fast-paced environment. Whether supporting large scale events, high end hospitality or daily service, the CDP helps ensure the kitchen runs smooth and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure consistency, timings & presentation are delivered on a daily basis
  • Kitchen operation, opening & closing procedures adhered too
  • Stock rotation & par level management to maintain fresh produce & manage waste
  • Correct recording & receiving of food deliveries
  • To form a good working relation with all members of the F & B team and wider members of staff in all departments of the business
  • Taking responsibility of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef or Sous Chef
  • Compliance with all health & safety/COSHH/HACCP/EHO protocols
  • Allergen labelling/production for all events/matchday catering
  • Using all internal systems to maintain efficient workflows & approvals
  • To ensure food presentation & quality meets the standards set by the Head Chef and meets stadium brand and client expectations
  • Working closely with all other chefs to investigate food trends & introduce accordingly

Essential

  • Good knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and kitchen operations
  • Understanding of food safety, hygiene regulations and HACCP procedures
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Able to work efficiently under pressure in a high paced environment
  • Good communication skills and the ability to follow direction
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and event days
  • Passion for food
  • Relevant culinary qualifications or formal training
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable

  • Experience in large scale catering events or stadium/hospitality environments
  • Previous experience working in fine dining or high-volume service
  • Formal training in allergen awareness and dietary requirements
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen health and safety audits and compliance
  • Experience using commercial kitchen equipment and modern cooking techniques
  • A genuine passion for seasonal and sustainable ingredients
