Job Description


The Operations Technician will be responsible for performing various daily tasks on the infrastructure and facilities to support the Club's activities in an optimal and safe manner. This person will also be required to work at the Club's various operational sites.

Main responsibilities

  • Ensure the proper functioning of equipment and infrastructure on a daily basis;
  • Perform daily inspections of facilities for compliance;
  • Diagnose system malfunctions and report them to the operations supervisor;
  • Perform the assembly and disassembly of the facilities for all Club locations;
  • Participate in the preparation of matches or any other event venues that CF de Montréal requires activities to hold;
  • Carry out seasonal transitions between establishments: Winterization, relocation, etc.;
  • Perform maintenance and repair work such as carpentry, equipment repair and maintenance;
  • Perform basic maintenance on systems, such as: plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning;
  • Carry out painting and plastering work;
  • Receive supplies and equipment;
  • Grant access to and supervise suppliers;
  • Provide support to the operations team;
  • Eliminate and prevent any risks to health and safety at work;
  • Compliance with organizational policies and procedures;
  • Active participation in the continuous improvement of resources, processes and working methods;
  • Perform all other related tasks.

  • Set up and dismantle installations for all Club locations;
  • Participate in the preparation of matches or any other event locations that CF Montreal requires activities for;
  • Perform seasonal transitions between establishments: winterization, relocation, etc;
  • Perform maintenance and repair work such as carpentry, equipment repair, and maintenance.
  • Perform basic system maintenance, such as plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.
  • Perform painting and plastering work;
  • Receive supplies and equipment;
  • Provide access and supervise suppliers;
  • Support the operations team;
  • Eliminate and prevent any health and safety risks at work;
  • Comply with organizational policies and procedures;
  • Actively participate in the continuous improvement of resources, processes, and working methods;
  • Perform any other related tasks.

Qualifications
  • The personality! Proactive, resourceful, rigorous, with a great sense of teamwork;
  • Hold a vocational diploma in general building maintenance combined with one year of relevant experience;
  • Having experience in event operations (an asset);
  • Good knowledge of general building maintenance, including carpentry, plumbing, electricity, painting, etc.;
  • Excellent aptitude for manual tasks, outdoor work and lifting loads;
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, independently, and to work under pressure and tight deadlines;
  • Having a workplace first aid certificate (an asset);
  • Having a forklift operator's certificate (an asset);
  • Have a valid class 5 license;
  • Be available during the day, evening and weekend, according to the schedule of matches and events.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in event operations (an asset);
  • Good knowledge of general building maintenance, including carpentry, plumbing, electricity, painting, etc;

  • Great ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, autonomously, and work under pressure within tight deadlines;
  • Hold a workplace first aid certificate (an asset);
  • Hold a forklift operator certificate (an asset);
  • Have a valid class 5 driver's license;
  • Be available during the day, evening, and weekends, according to the match and event schedule.
