Saints Foundation is the charity of Southampton Football Club. We support people in need throughout Southampton, creating opportunities for our communities to thrive. We deliver projects that respond to the needs of the people of our community. Using the power of the Saints badge and working together, we engage those who feel the impact of inequalities the most, helping them to achieve positive sustainable outcomes for themselves.
What is the role?
This role coordinates the delivery of employability projects that support people to develop skills and progress into good, sustainable work or education. We believe in ‘seeing is believing’. Many of the people we support face complex barriers to employment and education, so this is a hands-on, impact-driven role. You will work directly with participants, providing one-to-one coaching, preparing them for opportunities, and collaborating with employers to create sustainable job outcomes.
What will you be doing?
This role will be responsible for delivering high-quality employability projects including Saints Works, Sector-based Work Academy Programme (SWAPs), and our Volunteering Programme.
In this role, you will lead the recruitment, planning, and delivery of participant cohorts and employability workshops, acting as the main point of contact for both participants and employers. You’ll manage referrals, conduct eligibility checks, track progression, and monitor performance against KPIs to produce clear, accurate reports.
You’ll ensure our sessions remain engaging and relevant by regularly reviewing content, gathering feedback, and arranging meaningful learning opportunities such as guest speakers, workplace tours, and careers events. You’ll build strong partnerships with employers, agencies, and community groups, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of local support services to help participants move closer to employment.
Additionally, you will have line management responsibilities for our Volunteering Project Officer, providing support and guidance to develop this new area of work.
Is this you?
You are outgoing and approachable with a good understanding of how to connect with people from a variety of backgrounds. You take pride in your work and are motivated by helping others.
