Competitions & Football Services Officer

Job Description

The Scottish FA is looking for a Competitions & Football Services Officer to provide administrative support across all competitions, including the Men’s and Women’s Scottish Cups, Youth Cup, and UEFA Club Competitions.
If you are passionate about football and skilled in administration this could be the role for you.

Amongst other things, you will:
  • Manage the Friendly Match application process.
  • Assist with reviewing competition formats and rules.
  • Administer Football Agent matters in line with FIFA and Scottish FA regulations.
  • Support other Football Governance areas as required.

  • Strong administration experience and excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Competent in MS Office and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
  • A positive, team-oriented approach and attention to detail.

Desirable
  • Knowledge of Scottish football.
  • Experience with regulatory administration and online systems.
The role is based in Barclays Hampden. We follow an hybrid working pattern but in this role you may also occasionally need to visit clubs across the country, therefore a full driving licence is required.

Key Responsibilities

•        Provide administrative support to the Competitions Manager across all functions of the Competitions Department.

•        Assist the Competitions Manager with the efficient administration of the Scottish FA competitions functions including the Men’s Scottish Cup, Scottish FA Youth Cup, CAS 19s League, and UEFA Club Competitions.

•        Provide effective administration of the Women’s Scottish Cup and Women’s UEFA Club Competitions.

•        Primary responsibility for the administration of the Friendly Match application process. 

•        Assist with the annual review of the format and rules of the Men’s Scottish Cup, Women’s Scottish Cup and Scottish FA Youth Cup competitions. 

•        Manage and administer Football Agent matters in line with both FIFA’s and the Scottish FA’s Football Agent Regulations. 

•        Provide administrative support to other areas of the Football Governance functions, as directed by the Head of Football Governance. 

Any other reasonable duties as directed by the Competitions Manager or Head of Football Governance
