Manchester City Football Education is looking for part-time football coaches to deliver high-quality, football programmes for children across Perth. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a world-class coaching framework, helping young players enjoy the game, develop their skills and build confidence in a positive, inclusive environment.

 

You’ll deliver sessions based on the Manchester City coaching philosophy, supporting community and grassroots football through structured, engaging programmes that families choose to participate in. Whether you’re an experienced community coach or someone looking to grow within football education, we welcome applications from people of all backgrounds who share our passion for developing young players.

Your Impact

 

  1. Plan and deliver engaging football sessions aligned to the Manchester City play model and curriculum.
  2. Deliver programmes across multiple venues in Perth, maintaining high coaching and professional standards.
  3. Support the Head Coach to ensure sessions are well organised, safe and enjoyable for all participants.
  4. Act as a key point of contact for parents and carers, communicating session information and responding to queries.
  5. Complete player and term reports, supporting programme quality and continuous improvement.
  6. Take part in ongoing professional development, reflecting on your coaching and learning new techniques.
  7. Support the wider programme with additional coaching or administrative duties when required.

 

What we are looking for

  • A passion for coaching children and creating positive football experiences.
  • A recognised coaching qualification (minimum UEFA C or AFC C Licence).
  • Experience coaching grassroots, community or junior football programmes, whilst also working with players of different ages and ability levels.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with children and parents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a coaching team.
  • A positive, inclusive coaching style that reflects Manchester City values.
  • Willingness to work part-time hours, including afternoons, evenings or weekends depending on programme schedules.
  • A valid Western Australian Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain one).
