Job Title: Head Football Coach

Location: Cheshire and Merseyside

Position Type: Full-time

Are you an enthusiastic football coach passionate about nurturing young talent? An exciting opportunity has opened for a Head Football Coach in the Merseyside area, providing the chance to lead and inspire young athletes across various locations on their footballing journey.

The full-time schedule is divided into coaching and administrative hours. Coaching hours are fulfilled by leading five evening development courses per week (see full schedule below), while administrative hours can be completed remotely from home, after induction training is completed.

Admin :

Daily - 12:30pm - 4:30pm (Work from home)

Coaching :

Monday - The Heath School, Runcorn - 6:00pm - 8:30pm

Tuesday - Archbishop Blanch, Liverpool - 6:00pm - 8:30pm

Wednesday - Ormiston Chadwick Academy, Widnes - 6:00pm - 8:30pm

Thursday - Cardinal Heenan, Liverpool - 6:00pm - 8:30pm

Friday - Beamont High School, Warrington - 5:30pm - 8:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead engaging coaching sessions for primary school-aged children at different locations (weekly evening sessions listed below. During the school holidays there will be coaching hours at one of our holiday clubs)
  • Develop and implement structured football training programs, integrating skill-building exercises, drills, and match simulations.
  • Organize and oversee 12-week development courses and multi-sport camps aimed at nurturing talent and fostering a deep passion for sports.
  • Manage administrative duties related to coaching programs, including scheduling, registrations, and maintaining effective communication with parents/guardians.

Requirements:

  • Valid FA qualification.
  • Experience in coaching primary school-aged children is advantageous.
  • Must possess or be willing to work towards FA First Aid and Safeguarding certifications.
  • Essential possession of a valid driving license.
  • DBS checked or willingness to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
  • Commitment to player development and a genuine passion for football.
