LINE MANAGER: Transport Manager

LOCATION: Robins High Performance Centre, BS8 3TN

CONTRACT: Casual

(This role involves weekend and evening work)

Join our dynamic team as a BCFC Academy Driver on a casual contract basis, where your driving skills and knowledge will play a vital role in supporting our academy operations. As a valued member of our team, you’ll contribute to creating a positive experience for players, staff, and visitors alike while working in a fast-paced, energetic environment.

 

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for picking up and transporting young people to and from training/education/fixtures/ medical appointments.
  • Responsible for carrying out standard basic minibus safety checks and report any defects immediately.
  • Responsible for the security of the minibus
  • Fuel minibus where required with club fuel card.
  • Report any accidents/near misses immediately to relevant parties.
  • Adhere to all necessary driving regulations.
  • Ensuring that Players’ welfare and safeguarding is always protected.
  • Report any welfare and safeguarding concerns immediately via the relevant platforms.
  • Ensure multi-disciplinary communication to ensure the well-being and holistic development of the Academy players
  • Ensure you are consistently compliant with the Academy Code of Conduct.
  • Professional communication with staff, young people and parents is always maintained.
  • Be adaptable to work to the demands of the job and the needs of the young people.

This post requires Enhanced Criminal Records Checks and may include checks against the Barred Lists, as such it is exempt from Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974). Therefore, all convictions including spent convictions that have not been subject to filtering by the DBS should be declared.

Qualifications and Skills:

 

ESSENTIAL

  • Valid driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points.
  • D1 Minibus licence.
  • Knowledge & understanding of Safeguarding for children.
  • Enhanced DBS check.

DESIRABLE

  • Minimum of two years’ experience of driving a minibus.
  • Experience of transporting young people
  • Knowledge of motor vehicles and basic vehicle maintenance.
