Superstadium Management Company Ltd (SMC) are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and professional Hospitality Manager to join our matchday team at MKM Stadium. The successful candidate will lead the hospitality team and ensure guests and sponsors receive a welcoming, professional and high-quality experience.

This hands-on, fast-paced role involves working closely with the commercial, safety and stadium operations teams to support the smooth running of the hospitality areas.

Department: Stadium Operations and Hospitality

Reports To: Safety Officer, Deputy Safety Officer and Stewards Admin Manager

Hours: Casual hours, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays

Location: MKM Stadium, Hull HU3 6HU

Your key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the hospitality front-of-house team on event days, ensuring guests receive a professional, welcoming and high-quality experience.

• Conduct a pre-match briefing for hospitality staff.

• Complete checks of hospitality areas before guest arrival.

• Lead and support hospitality staff, ensuring team members fully understand their duties for the day ahead.

• Act as a key point of contact for guests, responding to queries and resolving issues promptly and professionally.

• Document and record any complaints or issues that arise.

• Work closely with the commercial team and other managers to support the safe and efficient running of the hospitality areas.

• Monitor customer service standards, providing support and guidance to team members and addressing concerns promptly.

• Deal confidently with unexpected situations and escalate matters when required.

• Maintain effective communication with colleagues and other stadium departments to support seamless stadium operations.

• Ensure all relevant health and safety requirements and MKM Stadium policies are followed by the team at all times.

• Maintain a professional and positive approach, acting as an ambassador for SMC and MKM Stadium.

• Ensure hospitality areas are appropriately closed after each event.

• Provide feedback to management following the event.

We’re looking for an approachable, proactive and confident team leader who takes pride in delivering an outstanding guest experience. You will remain calm under pressure, make informed decisions in line with SMC and MKM Stadium policies and procedures, and communicate effectively with guests, staff and management at all levels.

You will lead by example and work closely with the wider safety and stadium operations teams to ensure hospitality runs safely, smoothly and professionally.

Essential Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 Spectator Safety Qualification.

• Previous experience in hospitality, events, customer service or a similar environment.

• Experience of leading, managing and coordinating a team.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Reliable and punctual, with professional standards of dress and presentation.

• Professional approach and manner in all situations.

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

• Ability to work effectively with colleagues across different departments.

• Applicants must be aged 18 or over due to the nature of the role.

Desirable Requirements

• Previous experience working in a management role within hospitality or events.

• Previous experience working within a stadium, sports venue, events setting or other large-scale, fast-paced hospitality environment.

• Knowledge of crowd management, stadium operations and event safety procedures.
