An exciting opportunity has arisen to become part of the team here at AESSEAL New York Stadium, joining the club's academy setup as the Lead Academy Physiotherapist.

About the role:

The job role consists of overseeing medical services to the Academy players and or as required by the Academy Manager & Head Of Performance & Sport

Manage the part time Academy physiotherapists to ensure cover at every training session and match days home and away.

Provide medical cover at sessions and to support the part time physiotherapists.

Deliver medical CPD program as required.

Overseeing and providing medical provisions to the youth team and Academy at RUFC on a day to day, full time basis.  That being the assessment, treatment, appropriate referral and rehab of injuries, producing and implementing injury prevention programmes and strategies, both individually and for the team as a whole.

Liaising with all outside partners as deemed relevant to the role such PFS / FA / EFL or PL and clubs.

The screening and assessment of players to identify problems areas and thereby improve injury prevention strategies.      

Provide match day medical cover for the youth team and academy..

Maintain and manage medical notes and information as such for fit and proper purpose for the Academy using the PMA.

Maintain and manage medical stock, supplies and the medical budget for the Academy.

To report on any and all medical matters to the appropriate people.

Drive the club minibus as required.

 

About the candidate:

Qualifications: 

Essential - BSc (Physio) or relevant undergraduate degree.

Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists and member of the Health Professions Council of the UK.

Driving Licence.

ITMIFF

Experience working with paediatrics in a clinical or sporting environment

Desirable - ATMIFF

Sports Massage Diploma
