About The Role

 
Reports to: Head of Media & Communications
Location: Training Ground, Heston, TW5 and Loftus Road Stadium, W12 
Hours: 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday, plus match-days
Salary: Commensurate with skills and experience
 

About the Role
You'll assist the Head of Media & Communications and take ownership of the club's digital strategy - helping QPR reach more fans, tell better stories and grow revenue across our digital platforms.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Working with your line manager to field media enquiries
  • Organising, planning and facilitating interviews and press conferences for local, national and international media
  • Managing the club's live streaming service, QPR+
  • Managing the club's VEO streaming service, primarily for Women's and Development Squad fixtures
  • Running the matchday media operation at Loftus Road — issuing accreditation, hosting media facilities and working closely with broadcasters, journalists and visiting clubs
  • Overseeing the club's digital strategy across website, app and live streaming, with a focus on maximising revenue
  • Planning weekly and monthly content schedules across the business, making sure key dates and events are covered
  • Working with the wider content team to shape editorial direction and produce engaging content
  • Interviewing members of the management team and first-team squad to provide copy for all platforms
  • Managing relationships with third-party suppliers
  • Taking part in the club's appraisal process and other standard people processes

About The Candidate

Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level, or equivalent

Skills, knowledge and experience:

  • A genuine interest in, and understanding of, football
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly developed networking and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work well under pressure
  • Advanced IT skills, including CMS and analytics tools
  • A minimum of three years' experience working in a club football media environment
  • Experience working with a live streaming service
