Role Purpose
 
The role of the Partnerships Marketing Manager is to support the delivery of commercial partnerships by managing the day-to-day marketing fulfilment of contractual rights for both club and WSL agreements. 
 
The ideal candidate will be a confident self-starter with strong marketing experience in the context of a sports partnership. Leveraging and maximising partner rights to create value for both the club and the brand partner. We are looking for someone who can jump in, get things done and work with the team to shape the future of the club.
 
The role requires working weekends for matchdays and travel where required, consequently flexibility in working hours will be required. 
 
Main Duties/ Responsibilities
 
1  Relationships:
· Cultivate and maintain a strong relationship with Partners and associated third partners – design agencies, creative agencies, media agencies, independent graphic designers.
· Develop a deep understanding of the Partner’s marketing objectives as well as wider business strategies to translate contractual rights into a clear season-long marketing plan.
 
2  Planning:
· Coordinate planning workshops and design meetings to maximise partner rights across campaigns, maintaining consistency and protect brand integrity across all touchpoints.
· Stay informed on sports marketing and media trends to inform creative strategies.
· Own partner contribution to database growth e.g. competitions co-branded email captures, sampling activations, ensuring data capture is built into activations.
· Design partner-funded or partner-branded acquisition mechanics (ticket offers, family/group promotions, referral incentives) that convert spend/activity into matchday attendance.
 
3  Brand:
· Lead the creative approval process for partner content and coordinate delivery.
· Approve partner logo usage across all channels and all Club venues and events, ensuring compliance with brand guidelines.  
· Manage implementation of Partner logo or campaigns across physical inventory (stadiums, signage, backdrops etc.) and digital inventory (LED, broadcast graphics, websites, app etc.).
 
4  Delivery:
· Support the Partner Managers to deliver best-in-class servicing to include campaign ideation and delivery, content creation, player appearances and unique experiences as well as on-ground matchday activations, home and away. 
· Lead on marketing delivery for league partners being the point of contact for relevant league marketing partnership requests.
· Manage the club’s branded gifting proposition for perspective and existing Partners, from ideation to delivery to stock reporting ensuring. 
· Support the end-to-end delivery of high-profile Partner networking events held throughout the season (e.g. Partner Summit, Pitch Days Golf Day) ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
· Work with the ticketing and matchday team to ensure partner activations enhance the fan experience and support attendance-driving initiatives (e.g. themed matchdays, family days, partner ticket promotions).
 
5  Business Development:
· Support the Commercial Sales team in developing creation of new partner assets, content series and brand marketing opportunities. 
 
6  Commercial Operations:
· Ensure all financial processes are followed, including P/Os, invoices and budgets.
· Have an awareness of contractual obligations and flag potential breaches.
· Identify opportunities to refine and improve our commercial marketing processes.
 
Other ad-hoc duties as assigned from time-to-time by management, depending on priorities and workload.

Qualifications and Training
 
Desirable:
· Degree level or equivalent in a relevant course.
 
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
 
Essential:
· Experience working in a sports rights holder or agency or high profile brand with proven success managing and delivering marketing campaigns.
· Strong knowledge of core marketing and sponsorship principles, including exposure of sponsorship contracts and rights packages.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced role managing complex projects with exceptional organisation.
· Experience measuring and analysing campaign results and making recommendations to optimise partner KPIs.
 
Desirable:
· Experience working within professional football.
· Knowledge of football governance, league regulations and safeguarding requirements 
· International or multi-market commercial partnerships experience.
· CRM experience.
· Additional language skills.
