Ipswich Town Foundation is seeking to recruit a part-time Project Officer to lead the planning and delivery of our Senior Blues community meet-ups programme. The project aims to reconnect older Ipswich Town supporters who may have become socially isolated, helping them to re-engage with both the football club and their local community.
The Club History:
Ipswich Town Football Club is a professional association football club, currently playing in League One, with aspirations of climbing back to the premiership.
The club was founded in 1878 and turned professional in 1936; it was subsequently elected to join the Football League in 1938. Ipswich won the English league title in 1961–62, their first season in the top flight, and finished runners-up in 1980–81 and 1981–82. They finished in the top six in the English First Division for ten years, apart from when they won the FA Cup in 1977–78.
