What You’ll Be Doing
We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated Inclusion Officer to support an exciting partnership between Leeds United Foundation, Leeds Rhinos Foundation, and Wellspring Academy Trust.
This role will focus on improving outcomes for young people across seven schools through the delivery of programmes under four key themes: Engagement & Participation, Health & Wellbeing, Belonging & Community, and Opportunity & Thriving.
Working across both Foundation teams and school settings, you will help create meaningful opportunities for young people, supporting attendance, behaviour, attainment, wellbeing, and personal development through the power of sport and positive engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging inclusion programmes across Wellspring Academy Trust schools.
Support young people to improve attendance, behaviour, attitudes to learning, and educational outcomes.
Create meaningful opportunities, incentives, and reward programmes that encourage engagement and achievement.
Build positive relationships with pupils, parents/carers, school staff, and external agencies.
Analyse pupil data to identify needs and measure the impact of interventions.
Work collaboratively with multi-agency professionals including education, health, and social care services.
Support pupils with social, emotional, behavioural, and wellbeing needs.
Promote inclusion and encourage participation from all young people.
Act as a positive ambassador for Leeds United Foundation, Leeds Rhinos Foundation, and Wellspring Academy Trust.
Contribute to the development of effective systems for monitoring, communication, and information sharing.
Maintain accurate records, reports, and intervention documentation.
Ensure all activity is delivered in line with safeguarding, child protection, equality, and health & safety standards.

What We’re Looking For
You’ll have:
NVQ Level 3 in Learning Support or equivalent qualification.
Professional training in behaviour management and experience working within a school environment.
Current Enhanced DBS Certificate.
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
Strong ICT skills and confidence using digital systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Experience
Supporting learners to improve attendance, behaviour, attainment, and engagement.
Working with pupils with emotional and behavioural needs.
Working within SEND and/or alternative provision environments.
Using pupil data to identify needs and monitor the impact of interventions.
Working collaboratively with parents, carers, schools, and external agencies.
Building positive relationships with children, families, and professionals.
Implementing behaviour management strategies and inclusion initiatives.
Supporting physical, emotional, and educational wellbeing.
Writing reports, maintaining records, and meeting deadlines.
