About the role
We are looking for a proactive and detail‑oriented Management Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to our Senior Finance Business Partner, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate, timely financial information to support decision‑making across the Club.
This role is ideal for a part‑qualified accountant (or equivalent experience) who enjoys working collaboratively, values accuracy, and is motivated by continuous improvement.
What you’ll do
* Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts in line with agreed deadlines
* Assist with preparation of financial reports, budgets and forecasts to support effective financial planning
* Completion of balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy of financial data
* Preparation and analysis of financial information to support performance tracking and decision‑making
* Responsible for preparation of Group VAT return data and analysis of expenditure for Corporation and Employment tax returns, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information
* Maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail across all financial reporting
* Handle sensitive and confidential financial information with discretion at all times
* Work collaboratively with colleagues across Finance and the wider organisation
* Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and ways of working

What we’re looking for
* Part‑qualified ACA, CIMA or ACCA accountant, or equivalent practical experience
* Proven experience producing monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts
* Strong Microsoft Excel skills
* High levels of accuracy, attention to detail and IT literacy
* Experience working with sensitive and confidential information
* A collaborative team player with a positive, proactive approach
* A continuous improvement mindset, with a desire to improve efficiency and quality
