Job Description

Oxford United Women are seeking a passionate and committed Co-Coach to support our Under-13 Girls programme within a high-performance development environment. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within the coaching team to support the ongoing development of talented young female players competing in the Junior Premier League (JPL).

The role involves planning and delivering high-quality pitch-based and classroom sessions across 2–3 training sessions per week, aligned with Oxford United Women’s philosophy and coaching methodology. We are looking for an individual who thrives in a team setting, engages positively with feedback, and is motivated by collaboration and continuous improvement for the benefit of both players and staff across the programme.

Job Title: U13 Co-Coach
Reports To: Head of Girls' Football
Location: Oxford United Training Centre, Oxford Road, Horspath, OX33 1RT 

Nine hours per week - Mon, Weds (alternate weeks) & Thurs plus Saturday gamedays 
UEFA B (or currently completing), but will also consider UEFA C holders with experience at higher levels of youth football. 

Role & Responsibilities – General:

  • Attend all fixtures, session and team events across the season
  • Planning and delivering high-quality pitch sessions and gameday coaching in line with the OUWFC philosophy and game model alongside a co-coach
  • Monitor, record, and assess the progress of individual players and provide regular input into Individual Development Plans
  • Help drive and nurture a positive, high-challenge, high-support culture that all players and staff can enjoy and thrive within
  • Help ensure all safeguarding policies and guidelines are always adhered to
  • Always uphold club and programme values and professional standards
  • Provide input into selection processes and actively engage in exit strategies for released players
  • Be prepared to work across age groups to support the pathway as needed
  • Be responsible for maintaining the kit and equipment to a high standard 

Experience: 

  • Minimum one year of experience working in an elite football environment
  • Experience using VEO/analysis of game footage (desirable)
  • Experience providing written feedback to players (Individual Development Plans

Qualifications & Training:

Essential:

  • UEFA C with experience working in high-level youth environments
  • FA Safeguarding Certificate
  • FA Introduction to First Aid/Emergency First Aid
  • An enhanced DBS check will be carried out
  • A driving license and the ability to travel independently and reliably

Desirable: 

  • UEFA B
  • Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team to support players
