Runcorn Saxons FC – THE FOUNDATION (Ages 4–6)
Due to an increase in session numbers Runcorn Saxons FC are looking for a passionate Assistant Football Coach to support our Foundation Sessions — introducing boys & girls aged 4–6 (Reception & Year 1) to football in a fun, safe and structured environment.
This is a brilliant opportunity to be part of a non-profit, FA-aligned programme that focuses on long-term player development and a potential pathway into Runcorn Saxons U7s teams for players.
⚽ ABOUT THE ROLE
You’ll assist a lead coach in delivering engaging, age-appropriate sessions built around:
• FA Play Phase principles
• Agility, Balance & Coordination (ABCs)
• Ball familiarisation & striking
• Small-sided games (1v1, 2v2, 3v3)
• Basic game understanding
Most importantly — fun, confidence building and enjoyment of the game.

⏰ 10:00–11:00am
📍 Sandymoor Ormiston Academy, WA7 1QU

✔ Enthusiastic & engaging with Reception and Year 1 children
✔ Confident delivering fun, developmental sessions with the age
Be HIGHLY reliable
✔ Is available on a Sunday mornings, and potentially midweek or weekend friendly matches
✔A confident communicator
✔ Shares our club values & development-first approach
✔ Coaching qualifications welcome - Introduction To Football Coaching or above and is ✔FA compliant (Safeguarding & First Aid) - but not essential
✔ Ideal for aspiring coaches or those wanting experience in grassroots football

About Runcorn Saxons FC
A Runcorn based, family orientated FA Charter Standard Girls & Boys Football Club. Teams for 6-16 year olds and beginners introduction sessions. We are proud of our Club & Playing Philosophy, allowing children to develop both on and off the pitch.
