- South London Girls Football Academy is seeking an experienced and passionate Specialist Goalkeeper Coach to lead the development of all goalkeepers across our Academy at our Southwark centre.
This is an exciting opportunity to become the dedicated goalkeeper specialist within the Academy and to play a pivotal role in shaping the goalkeeping pathway for young female players in South London. You will help inspire, develop, and retain talented goalkeepers while building a high-quality, age-appropriate goalkeeper curriculum for current and future seasons.
Key Details
Location: Southwark, South London
Day & Time: Saturdays, 11:30am – 12:30pm
Rate: £25–£30 per hour (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Session-based (season-long commitment required)
The Role
As Specialist Goalkeeper Coach, you will:
Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality goalkeeper-specific training sessions
Lead the technical, tactical, physical, and psychological development of goalkeepers across the Academy
Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for young female players
Work collaboratively with Academy coaches to align goalkeeping development with team objectives
Develop and evolve a goalkeeper curriculum to support long-term player development
Act as a role model and advocate for girls’ goalkeeping within the local football community
About You
We are looking for a coach who:
Has experience working within a football academy, development centre, or similar environment
Has a strong background as a goalkeeper and/or specialist goalkeeper coach
Is enthusiastic about developing young female players and growing the goalkeeping pathway
Is reliable, professional, and committed to attending all Saturdays throughout the season
Communicates clearly and positively with players, parents, and staff
Essential Qualifications
FA Level 2 Goalkeeping Coach Certificate (minimum)
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
Safeguarding Children certification
Desirable:
UEFA B Goalkeeping Coach Certificate
