Position: Development Staff Coach
Location: Burlington, Ontario

POSITION SUMMARY
The successful candidate will report to the Club’s Technical Director and Director of Operations; they
will deliver on the directives of the technical program; this individual will be the first point of contact for
on-field day-to-day, including but not limited to the equipment set up and take down, problem-solving
and questions. The candidate will serve as a lead coach for 1-2 teams (either in Grassroots U8-U13 or
U14+ District) and support Force teams and programs where needed. This position takes place on
evenings and weekends.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

• Must have a valid driver’s license, be able to work in Canada, and have a valid Vulnerable
Sector Check
• Certifications based on age/stage within U8-U13 (FUNdamentals, Learn to Train, Soccer for
Life, C-License)
• 1-2 years coaching experience
• Strong interpersonal, communication, management, and leadership skills
• Professional, diplomatic, tactful, resourceful, flexible and dependable
• Deliver coaching services per FSA’s standards, fostering a positive and inclusive environment,
implementing the club’s philosophy, and ensuring player safety.
• Follow the direction and guidance provided by the Club’s Technical Director and Director of
Coaching
• Set up and tear down of equipment for each session; ensure all equipment is accounted for, in
good and safe condition. Any equipment that is lost or damaged may be deducted from your
wages.
• Report any issues/problems daily to the Director of Operations, with anything serious being
documented via email.
• Constantly review, observe, and reflect on areas of improvement and summarize thoughts in
notes to share with the Technical Director as areas to advance and improve the Club and its
programming.
• Assisting in the identification and selection of players
• Complete administrative hours a week, which includes but is not limited to communicating with
the team on upcoming items, completing player evaluations, and generating game sheets
• Complete two (2) player evaluations within the program calendar
