Job Description

Mississauga United FC is seeking experienced, motivated, and Ontario Soccer–licensed coaches
to join our technical staff for the 2026 outdoor competitive season. Successful candidates will
lead competitive Rep teams and contribute to the long-term development of young athletes
within a structured, high-performance environment aligned with Ontario Soccer’s Player
Pathway and the club’s technical curriculum.

professional support, and a positive environment for both players and coaches.


Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality training sessions in accordance with the club’s curriculum and
technical framework
• Plan, organize, and implement age-appropriate, development-focused practices
• Demonstrate and teach core technical and tactical skills effectively
• Apply strong knowledge of FIFA Laws of the Game, including officiating internal
scrimmages when required
• Foster a positive, professional, and inclusive team culture
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, and club leadership
• Maintain punctuality and reliability for all training sessions, matches, and club activities
• Support player development in alignment with long-term athlete development principles


Coaching Certification Requirements

Minimum Requirement:

• Ontario Soccer Fundamentals, Learn to Train, or Soccer for Life Certification


Preferred / Asset:

• Ontario Soccer C Licence or higher
• Currently enrolled in the C Licence pathway 

• Additional recognized coaching education


Required Qualifications

• Proven experience coaching competitive youth soccer teams
• Strong understanding of modern coaching methodologies and player development models
• Ability to deliver sessions aligned with the club’s technical philosophy
• Solid playing background and strong tactical/technical knowledge
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Demonstrated passion for youth development and continuous improvement


Compliance & Screening Requirements

• Valid Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC), or willingness to obtain prior to appointment
• Completion of AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act) Training, or
willingness to complete upon hire
• Respect in Sport (Activity Leader) certification, or willingness to complete upon
appointment
• Commitment to Ontario Soccer’s Safe Sport policies and Club Code of Conduct
