The Role

Paradine Ltd are one of the brightest up and coming companies in Sports Technology, focusing on cutting edge analysis, research & trading.

We are recruiting for the position of League Expert covering Sweden Allsvenskan, looking for somebody to join our team and provide expected line ups and advanced knowledge of games from this competition. This is a paid role.

The role will involve producing Previews of every game played in Sweden Allsvenskan to our set template, including but not limited to expected line ups, injury & suspension data, tactical set up and likely approach, as well as maintaining the database of players within each team within the competition. You will use our bespoke web-based platform to do this, on which full training will be given.

The role has flexible hours, though availability to provide pre-match previews throughout the week is mandatory. This job can be combined with other roles and is likely to take around 10-12 hours per match round, though your application will not be considered if you are currently employed in a similar sector where a conflict of interest could occur.

Payment for previews is a minimum of £17 per game, with highly attainable performance-based bonuses available, as well as potential opportunities to get involved in other areas of the business.

The role is home based, all you need is a strong understanding of Football and a fast and reliable Internet connection. Being able to speak/read Swedish is highly desirable, as we want the most in-depth knowledge possible, often only gained if you are fluent in the language.

About You

We are looking for those people with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. The data collected is integral to how we work and so needs to be done to the highest level possible. Being able to concentrate and work autonomously is key.

We want somebody who is extremely knowledgeable about Swedish football - do your friends often ask your opinion when a Swedish player joins their team? Are you somebody who has an in-depth knowledge of how Elfsborg play? Are you the one who can recite the starting XI of GAIS? Then you are the kind of person we want to hear from!

The role has the potential to make it whatever you want, with opportunities for progression into other roles and tasks within the company possible in future.

While we don’t ask for any specific educational background and welcome applications from those of all ages there are a few things we require: -

  • Being able to clearly speak and write in English
  • Good grasp of spoken Swedish, or as a minimum being able to read Swedish
  • Previous experience covering Allsvenskan is highly desirable, but not essential
  • Accuracy is fundamental, whether in your research or spelling & grammar - you should be proficient in use of computers and IT.
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic - we want you to take pride in your work
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A willingness to participate in bi-monthly video meetings

The role is open to anybody worldwide - as it is home based there are no restrictions. You will be a contractor of Paradine and NOT an employee. Payment is set at the going market rate and paid per game.
