Flint Town United FC is a progressive football club committed to developing players from grassroots to professional levels. We are seeking a passionate and qualified Sports Physiotherapist to join our academy team and support our players’ health, performance, and rehabilitation needs.
Role Purpose:
The Academy Sports Physiotherapist will be responsible for the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of academy players. You will work closely with the Head of Medical, Academy Manager, coaches, and sports science staff to ensure that all players receive high-quality medical care in line with FAW Tier 1 Academy requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation programmes for academy players (U8–U18).
- Monitor player health and injury status, maintaining accurate medical records.
- Develop and implement injury prevention programmes in collaboration with the coaching and sports science teams.
- Provide pitch-side cover during training sessions, academy matches, and tournaments.
- Liaise with external medical professionals when required.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding and child protection policies.
- Contribute to the development of medical protocols in line with FAW Tier 1 Academy Licensing standards.
- Educate players and coaching staff on injury prevention, recovery, and performance optimisation.
Person Specification:
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Physiotherapy (BSc/MSc) recognised by HCPC/UKCP.
- FAW Tier 1 Academy requirement: UEFA/FAW-accredited trauma management qualification.
- Experience working in a professional or elite youth sports environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of injury prevention, rehabilitation, and sports science principles.
- Experience with pitch-side emergency care, including concussion protocols.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies in a youth football context.
Desirable:
- Postgraduate qualification in sports physiotherapy or related field.
- Experience with multi-disciplinary team working in football academies.
- Familiarity with FAW Academy licensing medical requirements and reporting standards.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £10.22-£35.12 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 25 per week
