KidsUnited is an early childhood soccer and development center focused on children aged 1.5 to 9 years old. Our unique training methodology supports physical development, coordination, confidence, social skills, and early learning — using soccer as the primary educational tool.

We are looking for passionate, energetic, and reliable coaches who want to make a meaningful impact during the most important years of a child’s development.

Position Overview

As a KidsUnited Coach, you will lead engaging, age-appropriate soccer and movement classes while creating a positive, safe, and supportive environment for children and families. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with young children and want to grow their coaching and early-development skills through ongoing training and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead fun, structured soccer and movement classes for children aged 1.5–9 years
  • Deliver sessions in accordance with the KidsUnited curriculum and coaching framework
  • Support children’s development in coordination, body awareness, teamwork, and confidence
  • Build positive, professional relationships with children and parents
  • Provide brief, respectful feedback to parents regarding their child’s participation and progress
  • Maintain accurate attendance and progress records as required
  • Ensure all health and safety standards are followed during programming
  • Participate in required training sessions, meetings, and professional development
  • Represent KidsUnited in a professional, inclusive, and welcoming manner at all times

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

  • Minimum 6 months experience coaching youth soccer

OR

  • Minimum 1 year experience working with children, combined with a background in playing soccer
  • Comfortable working with toddlers and young children
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Reliable, punctual, and well-organized
  • Flexible availability, including daytime, evening, and weekend hours

Assets (but not required):

  • Early childhood education experience
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Coaching certifications or relevant training

Employment Requirements

  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Check (required prior to start date)
  • Ability to meet physical demands of working with young children (standing, movement, light physical activity)
