Customer Service & Shop Assistant

Total Football is an established and growing independent sportswear and equipment business, supplying clubs, schools, teams and individual customers across the local area.

Alongside our retail shop, we specialise in teamwear, sports equipment, schoolwear, workwear, printing, embroidery and personalisation, working with some of the biggest and best brands in sport.

We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service, offering great products and making sure every customer receives the right advice and support.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Customer Service & Shop Assistant to join our team.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You will be one of the first points of contact for our customers and will play an important part in ensuring they receive a friendly, knowledgeable and professional service.

THE ROLE

You will be responsible for:

• Providing exceptional customer service to all customers, both in-store and by telephone/email.
• Welcoming customers and helping them find the right products for their needs.
• Advising customers on sportswear, footwear, teamwear and sports equipment.
• Processing sales and customer orders accurately.
• Supporting customers with sizing, product choices and club/school requirements.
• Supporting our club shops and schoolwear customers, particularly during busy periods.
• Helping with teamwear orders, including personalised and embroidered products.
• Supporting the day-to-day running of the shop and keeping the shop floor clean, tidy and well presented.
• Replenishing stock and ensuring products are displayed correctly.
• Assisting with deliveries, goods-in and basic stock control.
• Working closely with our sales, warehouse and personalisation teams.
• Helping to maximise sales and identify opportunities to grow customer relationships.
• Going the extra mile to make sure our customers have a great experience.

Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not essential for the right person.

Knowledge or experience of football, team sports or sports equipment would be a definite advantage.

HOURS

This is a full-time position (8am to 4pm) and will include Saturday working.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £22,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
