Community Sports Coach

Harrogate Town AFC Community Foundation, the charitable arm of Harrogate Town AFC, is seeking a highly motivated, driven and enthusiastic Community Coach to join our team and support the delivery of our growing range of schools and inclusion programmes.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality PE, school sport and extra-curricular provision, alongside community and inclusion sessions, evening activities and school holiday camps. The role will involve working across a variety of settings, including nursery, primary and secondary, with participants of different ages and abilities, using the power of physical activity and sport to create positive experiences and opportunities for our local community.

You must have a good knowledge of working in a school setting, safeguarding and planning and delivering high quality PE. A knowledge of the national curriculum is key and how to implement this. This will be demonstrated at interview through a practical observation and interview.

We also work with different funders and providers to deliver bespoke programmes, such as Premier League Primary Stars and youth mentoring programmes. Experience here would be advantageous.

As part of a small and ambitious team, the role will also include planning, administration and monitoring responsibilities, ensuring accurate records are maintained and relevant KPIs, outcomes and reporting requirements are achieved for the Foundation and its funders.

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about coaching and community development, with relevant experience and qualifications, a full driving licence and excellent organisational and communication skills. The successful candidate will be proactive, reliable and adaptable, with the ability to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team.

Pay: £13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 25.0 per week
