REPORTS TO: Head Grounds Person
LOCATION: Robins High Performance Centre
CONTRACT: Permanent, Full-time (Evening, Weekend and Bank Holiday working will be required)

Overview: to work as part of the grounds team to ensure the Professional Sports Pitches and Landscaping areas are maintained to the highest standard. The job will be predominately based at the Bristol City High Performance Centre, however undertaking work at other sites may be required especially at Ashton Gate stadium on matchdays.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- To carry out day to day tasks, list not exhaustive but such as: mowing, line marking, setting up for matches, fertilising, divoting, cleaning equipment, use of hand tools, ensuring wear is spread across pitches throughout the season and applying granular fertiliser as instructed by the Head grounds person.
- Safe tractor operation and some horticultural work where required.
- To work as part of a team to ensure the standard of the site is upheld.
- To ensure high standards of Health and Safety are kept in the workplace at all times.
- To help keep high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping within the work place especially in and around the ground shed.
- To undertake some manual handling tasks such as putting up goal posts in a safe and controlled manner.
- To assist in the recording of pitch testing data as requested by your line manager.
- To be willing to work collectively as a team.
- To be able and willing to undertake some light machinery maintenance following initial training, ensure machines are maintained. This may require communicating with the site mechanic and Head Grounds Person by reporting any issues.
- Develop an understanding of legislation relating to chemicals and dangerous substances, promoting safe working practices at all times.
Qualifications and Skills
Full training will be given on the safe use of onsite tools and machinery required to complete each job, in line with manufacturers instructions and relevant health and safety regulations.
