Academy Goalkeeping Coach Responsibilities:
• Responsible for implementing coaching programs for Academy Goalkeepers.
• Work with Academy Goalkeepers at both training and matchdays.
• Ensure that all individual and team learning objectives link to the Hearts Way.
• Liaise with colleagues and various coaching staff regarding coaching programs and
individual Goalkeeper development.
• Communicate with the Head of Academy Goalkeeping to report on the performance
and progress of each Goalkeeper in the Academy
• Provide support on matchdays to age group Coaches, and ensure Goalkeepers are
appropriately warmed-up pre-match.
• Create a positive environment for our Goalkeepers’ development.
• Reflect and evaluate training sessions and coaching style, to continuously develop
as a coach.
• Assist in any other related duties that may be required.
Experience, Qualifications & Requirements:
• UEFA Goalkeeping B and/or UEFA Goalkeeping A License (Desirable).
• Previous experience of working in an Elite Football Academy, focusing on
development of Goalkeepers.
• Currently based in Edinburgh or can reliably commute to Edinburgh and other
locations as per the needs of the position.
• Able to evidence the Legal right to work in the UK.
• Valid UK driving license.
• Able to commit to working 2 mid-week evening training sessions per week, and
weekend matchdays depending upon the Academy schedule.
