The Role

The DEI Advisor is responsible for embedding Tottenham Hotspur Football Club’s DEI action plan. This role sits within the Club’s People and Culture team and works closely with colleagues in Recruitment, Health and Wellbeing and HR Operations to ensure DEI is embedded into all aspects of the Club’s culture, operations and people practises. This role involves crossfunctional collaboration and working with stakeholders to develop an equitable, diverse and inclusive culture of respect across the Club.

Key Responsibilities

DEI Action Plan & Implementation

  • Develop, refresh, and operationalise a DEI action plan aligned with the Club’s vision and values
  • Identify clear success measures across each of the DEI pillars and agree accountability with the Club’s senior leaders
  • Work with senior leaders to embed DEI objectives throughout the organisation by socialising the action plan across departments and sites
  • Develop and support the implementation of related action plans which progress the Club’s ambitious DEI agenda

DEI Engagement & Culture 

  • Partner with the Health and Wellbeing Executive to develop a seasonal DEI and Wellbeing engagement calendar, designed to meet the diverse and flexible needs of different operations across the Club
  • Identify, plan and deliver engaging initiatives and training aligned with key diversity dates and staff needs
  • Commit to fostering an inclusive culture through communication, education, and awareness initiatives that engage staff at all levels

Data, Insight & Reporting

  • Use data insights to inform action plan and make recommendations to improve DEI outcomes
  • Ensure progress is driven by data-led decision making and regularly report outcomes to the DEI Board Sponsor and DEI Leadership group
  • Work with HR Coordinators to collect, analyse, and report on key DEI metrics
  • Ensure DEI is integrated into core processes and procedures, including people policies, recruitment, and talent management practices

Governance & Compliance

  • Coordinate and support the DEI governance structure, including the DEI Board sponson, DEI Leadership group and Diversity Action Groups
  • Monitor and respond to changes in the legal and policy landscape
  • Ensure organisational compliance with mandatory reporting requirements (FA Rule N) and industry best practise (Premier League’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Standard.)

Internal and External Stakeholder Management 

  • Collaborate with internal teams to embed DEI principles across all operations
  • Build and maintain relationships with external bodies, including industry bodies (PL and FA), accreditation schemes and public sector partners to share best practice and strengthen credibility

Skills & Experience 

  • Proven experience advising on DEI
  • Strong knowledge of UK equality legislation
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across departments
  • Data-driven mindset with experience in DEI metrics, analysis, and reporting
