  • Work closely with OFC departments to provide practical financial advice and support.
  • Communicate financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, systems and service delivery.
  • Support the Finance Manager and wider Finance team to identify and manage financial risks.

About You

You will be a confident and experienced accounting professional who is comfortable taking initiative and building strong working relationships across different departments.

You will bring a practical, solutions-focused approach to Finance and be equally comfortable getting into the detail as you are explaining financial information to others.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Bachelor-level qualification in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline.
  • CA, CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
  • At least 5 years’ accounting experience.
  • Proven experience preparing monthly and annual financial statements.

  • Strong financial and analytical capability with excellent attention to detail.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence working with stakeholders across different departments and levels of an organisation.
  • The initiative to identify issues, recommend solutions and improve existing processes.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  • A collaborative, professional and team-focused approach.
  • Experience with PBE financial processes and reporting standards, not-for-profit organisations and/or Sage Evolution would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • You must also be eligible to work in New Zealand and able to satisfy OFC’s credit history and Ministry of Justice criminal history checking requirements.

Why Join Us
